AnySearch totally eliminates the problem of going to Netscape's overloaded servers to search the Web. By adding a new button and text-entry field to Netscape's Directory Bar, AnySearch allows you to perform web searches without having to load any search pages.
After installing AnySearch, Netscape Navigator browsers will have a new button and text entry field on the "Directory Button" bar. Be sure that your "Directory Button" bar is showing by clicking on the "Options" menu of Netscape Navigator and select "Show Directory Buttons".
Clicking the newly installed button on Netscape's Directory Bar will take you to the default (displayed) search engine if you have not entered any text into the newly installed edit field. If you have entered text into the field, clicking on the button will perform a web search using the default engine. Alternately, you can simply hit return after entering the text.
Clicking on the button and holding down for a second will bring up a menu of locations and options related to the default search engine.
To set the default engine to one of your choice, simply select it from the Set Default Engine option within the menu.
